This was a life-changing experience and it could not have gone more smoothly. It was really important that we found the right guide - there are quite a few to choose from. We lucked out with Degu Omo Valley Tours!

Our guide, Bereket, was so down to earth. He explained everything in detail, answered every question we had, was always responsive during the trip (Degu was super responsive during planning), and even took us to a few local spots he liked so we could get off of the touristic path. He was even able to get us to a bull jumping ceremony which was never promised, but certainly something we had hoped to see.

We felt our time was maximized by their experience - which is crucial when you don't have a ton of time. In four days, we traveled from Jinka to Arbaminch - seeing members of six tribes, including the Mursi whom we didn't think we'd be able to see due to recent conflicts.

This company hit it out of the park and I highly recommend them. I suggest Bereket as your guide, but I have friends who have used others and been just as pleased. We are excited to now call our guide and driver friends!
