Historic City of Harar – 3 Days

Morning flight or drive to Harar. Upon arrival, meet your guide and check in to your hotel. Begin your exploration with a guided walk inside Harar Jugol, visiting historic gates, narrow lanes, and local neighborhoods. Visit the Harar National Museum and enjoy views from the old city walls. In the evening, experience the famous Hyena Feeding tradition, a unique cultural encounter found only in Harar.
Overnight: Harar

After breakfast, visit traditional Harari Houses, including the Rimbaud House (Arthur Rimbaud Museum). Explore important mosques and shrines, such as Jami Mosque, and learn about Harar’s religious significance. Walk through the lively Harar markets, known for baskets, textiles, and local crafts. Enjoy a traditional coffee ceremony with a Harari family and taste local cuisine.
Overnight: Harar

After breakfast, depart for Dire Dawa for a short city visit and market walk. Transfer to Dire Dawa airport or continue by road back to Addis Ababa. End of the tour.
